Player Registration 2023/24

Wellesbourne Wanderers are delighted to have Wellesbourne as their home. As a community club it’s fantastic that we have many players across the age groups from across the local community. Next season will see the club being represented by 28 teams from U7 to adult teams, both male and female.

A key discussion point at the recent AGM was that of how we can continue to make football accessible to all, especially during these times of increasing costs of living, which unfortunately also impacts the club. As a community club it is important that we ensure we can cover the costs and be sustainable into the future.

Thanks to a significant number of volunteers, we are able to provide trained coaches who spend their time planning and delivering training sessions, attending games and undertaking team admin. We are thankful to whose vital funds have allow each team to have playing kit at no cost to players. 

After serious consideration, the fees for this coming season will be £150. As you can appreciate, this is not a decision which is taken lightly, and we want to ensure continued full community participation.

The preferred payment option (to reduce additional administrative costs to the club) is to have payment in full at the start of the season.

For those that need an alternative payment plan there is a 3-payment plan option. As emphasised, this is a community club focused on the involvement of as many players as possible from the local community. Any players or families who have concerns about the changes in fees for the coming season should feel comfortable reaching out to their team coach to have a confidential and supportive conversation.

The importance of engagement from players, parents, the wider community and corporations to help with further fundraising to continue to keep costs down cannot be underestimated. We welcome any suggestions for fundraising ideas and look forward to your support for any Wellesbourne Wanderers fundraising initiatives.

Training facilities
Coaching development
Referee fees (when allocated by the league)
Training equipment (balls, bibs, cones etc)
Kit (if no sponsor)

The sibling discount will also remain, at 50% (£75).

We believe, although an increase to last year, compared to local clubs this still represents good value for money and the lowest in the area.
